Hanging the hammock at a 30-degree angle will create a deep sag and a lower center of gravity, making it easier to get in and out of and more comfortable to sleep in.

The key to a comfortable night’s sleep is keeping the hammock loose and giving it some slack. Sleeping diagonally in the hammock will also help improve comfort.
